What I fund

Bring me a working project that's nearly there. I can help with parts, printing, server time or a quiet weekend to finish it. I read every application.

Grants are the default: $500 to $5,000, with no equity or usage rights. Investment is a separate option for projects ready to grow, with terms agreed case by case. If you're unsure which fits, say so.

Money isn't always the missing piece. For technical projects, I can also arrange API credits, hardware loans, software licenses or server time through existing relationships.

Apply

Tell me what you're making, what's holding it up and what would help. A few plain sentences are fine.

What's the project, what does it need next, and what would the money cover? Mention investment or in-kind help if that would fit better, on its own or alongside a grant.

Join the jury

I'm looking for readers with experience making things: engineers, artists, researchers, makers, clinicians, librarians and technicians. Neurodivergent readers especially welcome. I read every application myself.

What do you make or work on? What have you finished, and which fields do you know well? Links welcome.

Back the fund

Donations aren't open yet. I'm arranging fiscal sponsorship so gifts can be tax-deductible and go to grants. Tell me how you'd like to help, and I'll write when donations open.

One-time or regular giving, a corporate match, a donor-advised fund, or in-kind help. Tell me what you're considering.
